What is a dead pixel?
A pixel that remains unlit or permanently dark regardless of the displayed color.

A pixel whose subpixel components remain fixed at one or more colors instead of changing correctly.

A dead pixel looks dark on every color. A stuck pixel shows one color (often red, green, or blue) on screens where it should not. That said, not every odd-looking dot can be pinned down with certainty in a browser test. Dust, glare, or scaling can fool the eye, so re-check before you conclude anything.
